The next milestone session after newborn … Sitting Up Session

Xiao Li Daming and after three years of marriage, the family added a new member. This little boy is Kim Sun grandparents, after all, was the first grandchild, is really always hold in your hand, put it down. Slowly, six months later, although the baby lively personality, a little teasing, it will slightly hereby hereby is laughing slightly, but still will not turn over. Xiaoli athletes manual control developmental screening, always feel very assured that while the elderly always say "kids will be a time to large chicken is always slow cry." Xiaoli fear is exaggerated? How can it help your baby grow up healthy?
In fact, children are not uncommon problem in the development of the situation. Our so-called development, refers to the child as time grew, his nerves, muscles, bones slowly matured features, enhance functionality. Child's development, cognitive development can be divided into, physical development, language and communication development, psychosocial development, or self-care skills. He's capabilities, if not followed by the age mature slowly, unable to achieve 90% of the same age child's ability to be completed, the so-called developmental delay. For example, cognitive developmental delay refers to personal things, concepts and logic, memory, understanding, etc., compared with the same age children behind. If behind a greater extent than two standard deviations, it can be diagnosed with mental retardation. Similarly, social emotional developmental delays including emotional disorders and social adjustment, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, etc. Clinically, the most common scenarios include learning disabilities and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, occurring in up to 7.5%. Remaining as mental retardation, high incidence of 2.5%. Cerebral palsy or autism is a rare situation, prevalence of about four thousandths.
Why are these children will develop the problem then? In the prenatal, perinatal or postnatal, any cause damage to organs or functions are likely to cause the child developmental delay. Prenatal factors include chromosomal abnormalities, congenital malformation syndrome, hereditary diseases and a variety of in utero fetal brain injury. Perinatal aspects contains premature, production trauma, high jaundice, asphyxia, metabolic disorders, infection, intracranial hemorrhage, neonatal convulsions and other reasons. Postnatal factors may have an infection, head injury, poisoning, brain lesions, environmental factors such as abuse, neglect, emotional deprivation and so on. Too many possibilities, so not all children can find out the cause retardation. However, it is important for us to be able to identify these early children who need help, so that they receive prompt early intervention and rehabilitation. How can early detection of children's development has not kept most people do? As long as caregivers of infants on the general concept of development milestones, early detection is not a difficult task. Following on to talk about the development of infants and young children mileage.
For the development of infants and young children, we can be roughly divided into a large motor, fine motor, language and social development of four dimensions. Saying the seven sitting eight to climb, refers to the development of the baby big move, probably can be firmly secured seven months, eight months old available fours. About nine months old, slowly leaning on walls or furniture can stand and side walk. A three-month-old to a year old can be let go to go. In fine motor, about six months old when their hands and feet will begin playing together, will bring goods to another by the hand for hand. About nine months, you can rely on things with thumb and forefinger. Least one year old, it will slowly learn to clap his hands, to pick up or set down by Directive things, small things can put the cup. Language development, the three-month-old baby cooing and laughter will be issued, six months old, started babbling, can emit different labial, such as BaBaBa, MaMaMa. Nine months old, they can imitate hear. Full one year old can have one to two meaningful vocabulary, such as father, mother. Social development in two months old, able to send other people's teasing smile. Recognize students will begin six months, expressing likes and dislikes. Nine months old when initially playing hide and seek, will obviously recognize students can try to pick up the toys away, will wave bye-bye. Least one year old to know his name, told him to come over. Other milestones in detail, please refer to Table 1.
I often have the opportunity to learn from their teachers, professors and doctors who gained valuable experience that many parents, as sharing your personal experience:
Having said that, in general, four to five months when babies learn to stand up, and Xiaoli baby is now six months old will not turn over, so there is no problem with it? Development of early warning action, including:

Many babies don't smile

When interacting with the world outside of family. she still may smile at home when relaxed.
My boy smiles at home all the time but when we go to my older's son preschool he becomes very observant and serious.
now if the girl never ever smiled and she is about 1 then I would perhaps start worrying.
also kids at this age do not interact much and even an eyecontact is not a norm (shy kids have problems with this). it is perfectly fine for a baby to be interested in her own world.
is she sitting, crawling, cooing, walking etc? those are the milestones that can tell you something

I totally remember those sorts of milestones!

I remember the first time that I took a shower with J. in his crib - AND he didn't cry at all.
I remember the first time he *really* paid attention to a toy and the first time he held onto his toy. Or the first time he really noticed his feet - Oooh! they were cool!
I think all of us remember sitting on the toilet with baby (or maybe even nursing while we pee... isn't THAT fun?) and wishing we could just have a little time on our own.
Babies need the company. They are dependent. They will become independent. When they're 40. Or so.
Ari WILL become independent, but not any time soon

Rant-DD not hitting developmental milestones

I'm feeling quite down. Yesterday was my 9-month old daughter's check-up. Her regular pediatrician was on vacation so they had another doctor substituting.
Anyway, my daughter has only gained 10 ounces in 2 months. So she says I need to feed her more. I'd love to, but DD is just not all that interested in food. She currently nurses and has about 1 jar of baby food a day.
And then the doctor was questioning my baby's development. She says at 9-months old, NORMAL babies (she actually used this word!) should be a master at crawling (DD currently does the commando-crawling-through-foxholes crawl), and should be sitting up on her own (DD did this once on her own that I saw), and then should already be pulling herself up to standing and cruising while holding onto furniture (DD...

You are not a bad mommy

First put that out of your head.
Is you baby starting to eat solids? If so, how much is he eating? If you don't want to suppliment with formula, can you pump extra and add more feedings (pump to increase your supply).
As far as pulling himself up to sitting, I don't know what to tell you, but if you are concerned, maybe get a second opinion. Keep in mind developmental milestones are pretty broad guidance. Did she have any suggestions on what to do here? Maybe he is just less physical than other babies. Can he do it and just chooses not to, or has he never done it?
The "milestone" age for that is supposed to be 7 months, but it sounds like he is able to pull himself up so I'd not worry about it too much
